Text: decoration
Text decoration includes basic Outline, Shadow, Line, and Background, plus Pro feature decorations. Use Outline to emphasize text, Shadow to add depth, and Line, Background, Highlighter, 3D text, and other effects to improve readability or add accents.
What you can do on this page
In the Decoration tab for a text layer, you can add Outline, Shadow, Line, Background, and Pro feature decorations, then adjust each detail.
Operating procedure

Select a text layer
Select the text layer you want to decorate in the preview or the Layers tab.

Open the “Decoration” tab
Open “Decoration” in the editing panel on the right.

Click “+ Add decoration”
Under “Basic,” choose the decoration you want to add from Outline, Shadow, Line, or Background. Under “Pro features,” you can check decorations available with Pro.

Adjust the added decoration
Open the applied decoration and gradually adjust color, thickness, position, padding, and other settings.

Layer multiple decorations if needed
You can add multiple decorations of the same type or combine Outline and Shadow. To blend outlines on nearby layers, use “Connect outlines with the same color” for Outline. You can delete decorations you no longer need.
Outline
| Item | Description |

| Color | Choose the Outline color. You can use a solid color or Gradient. |
| Thickness | Adjust the Outline thickness from 1 to 300. |
| Connect outlines with the same color | Blends outlines with the same color on nearby layers so they look connected. When multiple outlines exist, only the outermost outline is affected. |
Shadow
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Shadow target | Choose from Text only, Background, or added Outlines. If there is no Background or Outline, that option is not shown. |
| Shadow color | Choose the Shadow color. |
| Shadow horizontal position | Moves the Shadow left or right. Adjust it from -100 to 100. |
| Shadow vertical position | Moves the Shadow up or down. Adjust it from -100 to 100. |
| Shadow blur | Adjusts the softness of the Shadow edge from 0 to 100. |
Line
| Item | Description |

| Line placement | Choose the sides where lines appear from Top, Right, Bottom, and Left. You can select multiple sides. |
| Scope | Choose whether to apply the line as Whole, Per line, or Per character. |
| Line style | Choose from Solid, Dashed, Dotted, or Wavy. |
| Color | Choose the Line color. |
| Thickness | Adjust the Line thickness from 1 to 40. |
| Padding | Adjust the spacing between the text and line from 0 to 80. |
| Horizontal position | Moves the line left or right. Adjust it from -50 to 50. |
| Vertical position | Moves the line up or down. Adjust it from -50 to 50. |
| Roundness | Adjusts the roundness of the line corners from 0 to 50. |
Background
| Item | Description |

| Scope | Choose whether to place the background as Whole, Per line, or Per character. |
| Background color | Choose the color placed behind the text. You can use a solid color or Gradient. |
| Padding | Adjust the spacing between the text and background from 0 to 80. |
| Corner radius | Adjust the background corner radius from 0 to 100. When “Scope” is “Per character,” setting it to 100 makes each character background round. |
Pro features
| Item | Description |

| Highlighter | Draws a marker-like line under the text. You can adjust color, thickness, position, transparency, and roundness. |
| 3D text | Adds depth and perspective to text so it looks three-dimensional. You can adjust vertical tilt, horizontal tilt, depth direction and length, depth color, shading, and blurred shadow. |
| Per-character colors | Repeatedly changes the text color character by character. You can adjust color order, whether to restart on each line, and how spaces are handled. |
| crown mark | Shown on Pro feature decorations. If you are not using Pro, selecting it lets you check the Pro details. |
Check points
- Text has four basic decoration types, but materials and images only support Outline and Shadow.
- You can check Pro feature decorations from “Pro features” under “+ Add decoration.”
- Select only Bottom for an underline-like look, or select all sides for a boxed-line look.
- Increasing Background padding makes the background larger.
When you are in trouble
If the decoration feels too strong, lower the thickness or padding. If the Shadow is hard to see, gradually adjust horizontal position, vertical position, and blur.
