What you can do with materials

For material layers, add shapes or stamps, adjust color, line, and size in the Basic tab, then add Outline and Shadow in the Decoration tab.

What you can do on this page

You can find the three entry points for adding materials, Basic settings, and Decoration.

Operating procedure

  1. Add a material from the add menu

    From the “+” in the editing tools on the right, choose “Add material.”

  2. Choose a material in the material picker

    Use search or categories to find a material, then click it to place it in the preview.

  3. Adjust color and size in the Basic tab

    Adjust fill, line, corner radius, linked width and height, width, and height. Depending on the material, you may be able to change colors inside the material individually.

  4. Add Outline or Shadow in the Decoration tab

    For materials, you can add Outline and Shadow. Line and Background are not shown.

  5. Adjust placement in the Position tab

    Adjust position and rotation in the same Position tab used for text and images.

Differences in decoration

character You can use Outline, Shadow, Line, and Background. With per-character decoration, you can also change the color or size of selected characters only.
Materials You can use Outline and Shadow. Line and Background are not shown for materials.
Image You can use Outline and Shadow. Line and Background are not shown for images.

List of setting items

ItemDescription
Add material Opens the material picker so you can choose and place a material.
Basic Adjust material color, line, corner radius, and size. Depending on the material, you may be able to change colors inside the material individually.
Decoration Adds Outline outside the material and Shadow to the material.
Position Adjusts position, rotation, and stacking order.

Check points

  • When you select a material, the “Material” label and “Change” button appear at the top.
  • When selected on the canvas, duplicate, delete, and rotation handles are shown.
  • Material decoration supports only Outline and Shadow.

When you are in trouble

If a material is not visible, check in the Layers tab whether it is hidden or behind another layer.
